Tree Identification

This is a Spring flowering tree, which throws up more branches from the base. The flowers are a mass of tiny star-like and white. Leaves are mid green and mat, ranging from 2.5 x 2" to 4 x 2.5 coming to a fine point, and arranged opposite on the stem. The seed pods are very unusual, the largest being very pale green paper-thin pods about 2"x 2.5" in 3 segments, in balloon style! one small ball seed inside.

Possibly a Staphylea, Bladder Nut of one sort or another. Image would help.

  • Yes , I have 3 photos, but can't seem to upload them onto this site. I don't have any problem normally, with emails or other sites. Perhaps the images are too big? Help!

  • I have done that about 6 times. I finally reduced the size of the photo, but it still says error, false .....

This site has the problem, as I have no difficulty uploading photos anywhere-else!

  • Thanks to EDD for explaining how to overcome the glitch!

Here is the first of 3 photos. The seed heads.

I think it's one of the Staphyleas, maybe trifolia. HCA suggested one of those before the pics arrived
