Somedays there's nothing better than some vigorous destruction, aka ground clearance, which in my too large garden might be cutting down trees or rooting out brambles or self sown shrubs (cotoneaster anyone?)
Other days some peaceful pricking out or potting on is just the ticket.
I always love sowing seeds and watching them grow and I love wandering round the garden, especially at this time of year to see what's new. Today it was buds on my blue poppies and the first flowers open on Rhodo 'King George'. Yesterday it was goldcrests pulling a feather out of a conifer branch.
But am I the only one to really enjoy weeding? It seems the ideal combination of construction and destruction with the added bonus of finding desirable new seedlings!
Hi Charlie you obviously haven't viewed my garden (All my planting is a little weird and my spelling is exceptional in the ways of one late comedian all the right letters but not necessarily in the right order )
Wonky Legs, feel free to come here for holidays... you can get free lodgings, and I'll do the cooking, and you can hoe away from dawn to sunset
I love propagating plants, by seed or cuttings. I love taking pics.
And because I get so tired (I have a biggish garden and I am the only gardener), in the end my favourite thing is sitting down with sharp scissors to groom my favourite pot plants in the evenings

Marc, I once dug up some bulbs unexpectedly. I'd planted them earlier in the day

It depends on my mood I think.

I too love weeding! It is so satisfying I could do it all day!
I love doing the destructive gardening, pruning, ripping out unwanted plants, that sort of stuff!
