Pruning over grown shrubs and roses is my fav job, then seeing them produce bigger and better flowers as a result. Some of my clients are amazed at the results and it's one of my most satisfying tasks and at home too.
My favourite thing is pruning and reshaping overgrown or neglected shrubs. To hear people say 'OMG are you sure it's OK to cut that much off!?' And know that it is. And then the masive satisfaction of seeing that shrub come back better and stronger than it was before. Love it! I'm never happier than when I'm snipping, pruning and re-shaping.
I just love being outside just doing anything.....although my least favourite is slug watch!! Everything else I enjoy but most of all I love sitting in my thinking chair with a glass of wine at the end of the day as the sun goes down just looking and listening
I like harvesting the fruits of my labour. Rubarb was first this year and it looks like gooseberries will be next followed by either strawberries or the berry bushes.
Me thinks strawberries and friends/family will be invited round to pick them followed by a bar-b with meat seasoned by herbs from the plot/garden. I like sharing .

I could fiddle about dividing, seed sowing, pricking out and and potting on all day. I'm not sure I am a gardener, more a propagator
In the sticks near Peterborough
Like Wintersong, composting is my favourite part of gardening. Also love planting bulbs. Seems so hopeful.
come on guys: what about making compost??
Contemplating (ok, pottering) without a doubt!
I'm adding my vote to Wintersong and Watery. Every stage fills me with joy, esp the final mass mulch
