i had only seen about three in the garden but went out the front to clear the weeds where wall joins pavement and found five in the weeds so i brought them in to the garden and put them on my helebores & roses to eat some aphids for me, i saw a black one today though.

I had some in the GH, never seen them in there before but also had greenfly on a chilli plant last week, needless to say there aren't any greenflies in there now image.

There's been a few on the allotment and I've seen bee's but at least two plot holders have bee hives, they've certainly been coming out on warm days. .

Oh dear. That doesn't sound good then. I have hover flies and seen one lacewing but it looks like blackflies are going to be everywhere this year image

Have about 5-6 in garden, would expect to see more but has been sooo cold and wet sine April .  one just sat on my rose bush having a delicious greenfly this afternoon but not seen any babies so far !

  • No sign of any yet.....and my beans are covered in Black Fly. I tried looking in one of their favourite winter hiding places in my small Yew tree. Not a single lady to be found.

My sister and I were just talking about this as she has a huge infestation of aphids and blackfly.

We've barely seen any this year image

  • Three spotted in total - it's been too cold, I think. Very few greenfly too. Plenty of bumble bees in the berberis.
