It's not alkanet, but you know what? You guys are spot on, it has the "borage look" about it... could it be Comfrey? Symphytum officinale, or uplandicum?
I have some Echium Pininana seeds but can't remember sowing any. Unless i've lost my mind. Its not clary as i've never seen or brought clary seeds before.

I am just wondering if it might be an Echium Pininana? The leaves look similar, and the plant looks quite vigorous. Just a thought.

I've seen that site Kath and the leaves look spot on. I just can't remember sowing any Echium pininana
