  3rd May.  runners on the right, French on the left , 16 of each.

  75% seems low to me. I sowed 15 seeds in bog standard MPC last year (May), all germinated. No extra heat or light supplied.
  
  Sowed 15 again this year (on 23rd April). The first one poked through the soil 6 days later. All 15 germinated again. The photo was taken on day 12 (the 15th seedling hadn't appeared at this point).
