Plant ID - Couple of Rogue Plants Inc Spanish/English Bluebell help

Hey everyone.

I am busy cracking on with my garden and inherited few plants from previous house owner but I am not sure what they are. Could anyone tell me what plants 1 and 2 are and if they are worth/should keep or get rid of? Plant 1 is massive and shading other plants.

Next picture is of some bluebells but I am not sure which they are Spanish or english?

English bluebells flower on one side of the stem only. The leaves are thinner and strappier than Spanish ones. The bluebells in the photo look like Spanish type ones - I have the same. See if they are flowering  from all around the stem or not. If they are then they are Spanish or a cross.

Plant 2 looks like feverfew. It has small, white daisy flowers and smells quite nice but it will self seed everywhere. I have it coming up everywhere in my garden but usually leave a few plants to flower because it lasts for ages and looks pretty.

That bluebell is either a very mature English or a Spanish.

    Probably Spanish.

    They hybridise with our bluebells.

So if it has flowers all around its stem- get rid.

Plant 1 is a Ligularia, can't remember what species. Lovely plants, like a bit of shade and lots of moisture.

    Agree with 2 and 3

How can you lie there and think of England

The bluebells could be hybrids, so may not obviously be spanish, if they are you should destroy them as they are more dangeous than pure spanish ones as not as easy to spot.

'Dangerous' is an odd word to use! Undesirable, but surely not dangerous?

Dangerous? I suppose it depends on whether you are an English Bluebell or not.

Dangerous in that they hybridise very easily with our elegant native species, which I fear we shall lose altogether eventually.  They are thugs; root them out!
