No GW tonight?

Ahh just got home and made my tea to sit and watch GW - has it been 're-scheduled or  have I got to wait another week? image

I get really fed up of GW being cancelled. Lets face it, how many hours of snooker are being broadcast? Surely a half hour break would be welcomed by fans? And of course , once the proms start we will be short changed again.

I too was looking forward avidly to 30 minutes of gardening bliss image

  • Last week's edition- Monty did tell viewers ,at the end, that it would not be on last night.

So it should not have come as a surprise to regular watchers.

    It a perennial issue

Always a good reason to trample the lush green foliage of GW.

Its not as if there's a red button resource.... Oh wait. There is.

But as I said, this happens every year , be it snooker, world championship gnat hurling, etc etc.

But as long as Monte is back , refreshed and on my iPlayer, I don't mind too much.

I called the BBC once to complain that the first day of the British Open had 11, yes eleven hours of coverage and GW was cancelled because of it.

I asked , that given there was only 1 gardening programme on TV all week, wouldn't 10 1/2 hours of golf been enough and leave us GW.

Golf, snooker, cricket, commonwealth games, olympics, proms, any random athletics meeting , football, and rugby world cups. Any excuse.

    Devon.
