I would like to see many more gardening programmes on tv including more GW. Or how about an actual channel dedicated to everything to do with gardening. If they can have channels for football clubs then surely there's a channel going spare for us gardeners??

Totally agree that GW should be an hour long...maybe if they took off all the pointless celebrity shows we could have twenty four hours of gardening image

Harrie puss particularly likes the bird song and we both find Monty soothing... just named my new mower Monty image don't mind Nigel the dog either...he shows us how to delegate!

David, we are what we were in our youth, mine was dance music, Henry Hall, Glen Miller, all the big bands even Victor Sylvester of course the classical music I played on piano. The modern stuff never struck a chord with me though my Daughters made my ears ache with it. My gardening was often the only way to escape the cacophony gardening in the dark on cold winter nights not recommended .

The halcyon days we are having in the NE these last weeks, sitting in the sun listening to gentle country style music, U tube has masses of music so choice, what gets posted on here is not doing it for me. The old top of the pops that BBC have been pushing lately show me why I do not like it.

Morning in the garden potting on, nice sunshine cold wind, penalty for living next to the North Sea.

    Frank.

Not sure about this or last year but when he did the GI talks in 2013 Monty had two young regular helpers and the usual ring up the farmer or the village handy man when something major needs doing..

Dont forget the gardens over 25 yrs old now it didnt just appear overnight..

You can get a good idea of its workings and development from "The Jewel Garden".

Not sure an hours program is necessary... Just get rid of some of the really repetitive articles. If I have to see Ms Klein doing yet another article on wild primroses growing in a  Lane I think I'll scream image

Not a fan of Beechgrove. The format seems dated and it seems like a program aimed at either the science/game of gardening or how to make your garden bedding look like a council park. (I too shall get my coat - winter one as its windy and wet outside)
