A word of caution here.  I can't use FF&B because the dog can't resist it and I had a few new plants dug up a few years ago.  I have just used compost and for the first time this year FYManure.  Hope your dogs are better behavedimage

  • Thanks Lesly

My two are too old to climb the few steps up to the garden now..by the way, what is FY manure please?

  • Apologies, mis spelt your name !!

Sorry, Labradouble, should have said farm yard manure - FYM.  I've bought it in bags from the garden centre (GC - as it's referred to round here).  Our dog is not at all interested in it, thank goodnessimage.  Hope your two are doing OK.  Ours' is just a pup at three and a half.  They are wonderful dogs. loopy, intelligent and friendly.image.

I used to use chicken pellets in my old garden, it was 1/3 acre. Now I have a postage stamp surrounded by a 6 ft fence I don't think I could bear the smell!

  • Many thanks once again..
