Good, it should be ok on this soil too - if I can find a space for it, whatever it is image

What part of the country are you in, Tanya? I'm clutching at straws here because I can't identify this plant. Its like a lax and primitive magnolia flower with bits of cannabis leaf.
  • Hi Ceres, I'm in bedfordshire. Its getting really frustrating not knowing what this plant is, everyone i've asked does not know. I posted it on a plant identifying app and they also did not know lol image

The close up of the flower shows one with 7 petals. Have they all got 7 ?

I've been poking around in books and internet and have seen nothing like that

  • Most of them have 8... The close up ( my husband took the better pictures because im rubbish at it lol) is missing one of the petals..

  • Ive google searched so many different things, Stemmed pink flowers, Pink shrub spring, pink twiggy shrub lol I cant find nothing like it. Ive got a bee in my bonnet about it.. I have to know what it is! My mother in law is a very keen gardener and she doesnt know either

My husband just went out and counted the petals his saying most of them have 7 petals

  • Thanks, Its driving me crazy, I remember last year I was wondering what it was then and sort of forgot about it over the winter. Then me and my hubby really got in to gardening this year and watching gardeners world and now i've got a little OCD on labelling plants and knowing what they are. Now because i dont know what it is, Its driving me mad lol

If no-one can identify it then maybe this will work.

  • I have used plantsnapp before in my garden - and they're usually very good but they replied saying they couldn't identify this one! Perhaps I should try again with the new pics, however.
