I also reuse a lot of them but I have two haystack shelves in my shed which are overflowing with them. I have over 200 3" ones and only want to keep about 100 and have about the same number of 1 ltr, 2 ltr and 5 ltr which I have gradually accumulated over the years. When I go to our village plant sale next week I always feel that I have to buy something as it goes towards repairing my local Church so I will gain a few more pots, though will take some plants for them to sell as well so hopefully take more than I bring back.

I've found a lot of good used plant pots in skips that I use for pricking  starting veg and bedding plants  , they need cleaning in jeyes  fluid but its saved me a lot of money. Though I can't understand why garden centres no longer sell 3 inch terracotta  clay pots when they are easily available online , I've been to every garden centre and big shed in the Coventry area where I live and they aren't stocked , they only stock 4 " upwards

If you can find a wee local auction that does house clearances you can sometimes be lucky Callum. Keep an eye each week. I got a huge selection a while back from someone obviously clearing out a shed.

My pots seem to breed in a former water butt. image.  I find I can use a lot of them at this time of year when I divide up plants and let them grow on until I can replant elsewhere or pass them on to friends. There are local groups who will use them.
