    Lovely, but I still think thats my snail image I love the stone gnome, and those Euphorbias are gorgous.

    Gemma - I hope to plant some water forget-me-nots and brooklime in the gravel but no tadpoles this year I think.

    JodeJay - I think word does get around yes, even though there's no permanent amphibians yet there's loads of water insects/invertebrates.

    Yviestevie - go for it, I used to have a pond donkey's years ago and this is the first one since then. I only wish I'd dug one out sooner, you won't regret it.

    Lyn - I do believe you introduced water snails into our pond, albeit inadvertently via your plants. Love them though. The Euphorbias I'm told are the wild ones, wood spurge euphorbia amygdaloides.
