    I think that big ladybird helped, I'm a bit upset as I got out my bucket and spade and it's a gravel beach. image

    Thank you JodeJay, that's very nice of you to say. It was only dug out last August but I'm amazed at just how quickly life has moved in. Water boatmen, water snails and what look like freshwater shrimps. There was a frog about a week ago but he seems to have gone again.

    That frog has gone off to find his mates Fishy and tell them about the lovely new pond. image I really like the way you have done the shelf with the bricks, the gaps in between the bricks are just he sort of place where tadpoles can hide from predators.image

    It's incredible how the wildlife know about ponds. I'm sure there must be a secret newspaper vacancy site for them somewhere lol. I guess the old saying ' build it and they will come' is very true image Ive just spotted a frog hiding in mine but he's very camera shy!
