Hi Sam92. I have always found a nice polite phone call to the company explaining what the plants were like when they arrived. Explain you are not happy and request a refund or another batch of plants to be posted out to me asap. I have never had no problems with mail order company's and I use quite a lot of them including jparkers.
With the usual catalogue companies the plants are always very small, even for things like shrubs etc they will be tiny rooted cuttings or whatever. If you have the time and energy (and equipment) to bring them on then they can be ok.
For fruit however the big suppliers like blackmoor etc are generally excellent.
Hi all, just wanted to report a very good experience with an online company called seedaholic.com
I had a few queries and even though I sent the e-mail on a Sunday an hour later I had a response. They also spotted a possible error in my postcode and e-mailed to check before they sent off the order. Finally, when the seeds came there was very comprehensive and clear literature (with pictures) attached to each and every seed packet, actually relevant and personal to the actual seeds inside rather than the often generic bumph you get.
I live in France but international posting was no problem and very reasonable and the items came within 2 days. From the postmark I would say they are based in Ireland.
Anyway, thought I would share this and hopefully before long will have some pictures of little seedlings to share with you all.

Hi Sam. I know i'm late replying to this topic, but i have ordered recently from J Parkers and they have been terrible. I ordered some Thunbergia and they all arrived wilted. I also ordered some Cosmos and they looked like salad cress, they were so small, they've ALL come out stunted. My friend ordered some chocolate cosmos from Sarah raven and they have all died. The other company i have had bad experiences with is Peter Nyssen. They've sent me moldy bulbs twice now, although the others were of good quality.. hen i've rang up they've been very snotty and blunt on emails too. Will not use them again. The users on here who say they have had hardly any problems with online plants are the lucky ones.
