I don't know where you are Peanuts, but I find Agastache of all species, rarely come through the winter here.

I tend to grow each year from seed, they flower really quickly.

I am very close to you Peanuts (near Farnham) and I lose mine nearly every year.  Took some cuttings about a month ago, which seem to have taken, and about to do some more today.  Well worth the effort thoughimage

I am not quite sure what you are getting at Verdun [ I have probably missed something ] I think that we all like these plants, but for many of us, we cannot keep them alive over winter.

Therefore as you say, either take cuttings, or grow types that can be raised each year from seed, which is what I do.

    Simples!

I am a little surprised at your view on Agastache from seeds Verdun. There are many varieties available, and most flower very quickly from seed.
