Hi there nannybeach, thanks for the dead heading advice.

The lilly in my first picture that you asked about only has a very faint smell to it. Unfortunately I don't know the exact type, the pack was labeled as 'Asiatic mix', sorry I can't be of more help.

I don't think I have any lily beetles, what are the signs?

Also to 1runnybeak1, that two colour lily is 1 from a pick labeled 'Asiatic mix'.

Asiatic lilies don't have much smell. The oriental tree lilies have loads of perfume. The best for perfume are the white Regale or Longiflorums.

These are L. henryi. Not much perfume but a nice clash (very dixterish) with dark leaved red dahlias.

  • Hi there, my lilies are in pots as I don't have any room in the garden. They are flowering beautifully now. For next year can I just scrape off the top soil and put in some bone meal for feed or do I have to repot. They are all oriental types. Just scraping off the top will be easier, but I would love them again next year
