Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • my favourite pulmonaria is Trevi Fountains. Grows in sun or shade - so fantastic for the many shady corners in my garden. Fabulous  leopard spotted leaves pretty much all year round, flowers for the bees in early spring. Low maintenance - just remove dead flower stalks and dead leaves to avoid mildew.

I bought astrantia jumble hole from a local nursery today, it looks beautiful. I will include in my wedding flowers.

My favourite hydrangea is limelight, favourite fuschia is deltas sarah, and dahlia...hmm I think it's too hard to choose! I'm growing cosmos purity this year and think I'm going to prefer it to the lilac ones I had last summer.

As for roses, hardy geraniums and sunflowers, I'll let you know my favourite when all my new ones have bloomed. image Trying lots of new things this year, very exciting.

S&S is one of my fave Hostas too. As are Sagae and Krossa Regal.

  • Mm mm Hostas I love a hosta called Niagra Falls, it's huge and has a positive ripple to the leaves.

I also like the hydrangea Limelight and the Abelia Confetti.
