Favourite variety of your plants......
There are so many varieties of hydrangeas, salvias, hostas, camelias, grasses, echinaceas, potentillas, etc., etc., etc., but do you have a favourite?
To start you off, for me, amongst the astrantias, it has to be Jumble Hole. Unlike other astrantias in that it flowers much longer and is much taller.....to 3'. Amongst hardy geraniums it has to be Elke. And of the grasses it has to be STIPA Gigantea. Amongst the hellebores double white Celtic Star . Echinaceas? Probably Tiki Torch........

For me it's Peony Bowl of Beauty and the Salvia Hot lips.
I like the odd fuchsia, La Campanella is a must have in baskets, flowers all summer long, just perfect. (reminder to self to get some ordered, like now!)
I love salvias and they love my soil, my favourite by a long stretch is Salvia lyciodides, the deepness of its violet blue flowers is astonishing, especially at dusk and it's gently fragrant too, doesn't make a nuisance of itself and just about hardy in my patch to boot
I'm so glad I bought Viburnum Bodnantense 'Charles Lamont' rather than Dawn or Deben - it is absolutely gorgeous, less pink - white with just a blush - so elegant.
And of my hellebores, I just love Mrs Betty Ranicar the best - she is so pretty and holds herself so well.

Oh, and of my hostas - Sum and Substance has to be the favourite - such a bold bright green, so large and so tough the slugs and snails seem to leave it alone

Annabelles my favourite hydrangea, and Orion gets top spot for geraniums. My kiwi fullmonty is a lovely hosta, and jaqueline postil beats all the other daphnes in my book. And my constance spry rose is pretty special too
I had too look up Sum and Substance Dove, it is HUGE!
One of my Sum & Substance hostas in it's second year - they're growing in difficult conditions under mature ash trees so they have to cope with quite a bit of dryness from time to time. As you can see, no slug/snail damage
