Slug..... Or is it ?
in Talkback
I've been head Gardner & Est manager for 40 years. My brother also has been doing the same on a near by.
Neither of us has ever encountered this slug type thing until the last few years.
Not slimy. Leathery type skin. Has Not got any tenticals !!!!!
I've seen them up to 2" long. They live underground. They decimated my lettuce & nibble round holes in the tops of my radishes. Then move on to the rest of the row.

Never seen anything like that before - and I have seen a lot of things!
Whereabouts are you Neet?
Here in Norfolk we're very keen on keeping an eye on slugs - I suggest you should contact the Slugwatch team at the John Innes Centre - contact link at the bottom right of this http://www.slugwatch.co.uk/?page_id=16
and do keep us informed - I'm intrigued

Brown banded Arion all pulled up tight?
But Neet is an experienced gardener of 40 years and he says he's never seen anything like it, and he says it doesn't have the texture of a slug
