I didn't know that either David and I think I have a picotee variety in my mix....fab, I like frilly I've just checked and I do, Keira Madeline
Linzy, sorry I typed sticks earlier and it wouldn't let me type anything else!! David taught me to have little twigs and sticks to support the baby sweet peas, there are pictures somewhere on this thread
My sweet peas are thriving - I have put in 2m canes but some of the main stems are now outgrowing these! Would it do any damage if I nipped out the bit where the tendrils grow? Its my first time growing them; when my grandma told me how well their sweet peas were growing last year, I actually thought that she was talking about a vegetable....
That was Sweetpea Lyn, not sure she said yellow but may have missed it, I know I she lost quite a few plants though.
I thought I'd never seen yellow ones David, I'm not sure I'd actually like bright yellow sweet peas, although it's a lovely sunny colour I prefer it on sunflowers, daffodils, roses etc.....although a pale yellow, like a creamy lemon colour would look nice
I'm disappointed with mine this year, I think I may have planted too many? Unsure, i seem to have loads of white flowers, only planted 1 whitish variety( albutt blue ) and 2 mixes, also painted lady and blue velvet oh and Gwendoline, thanks David for recommending that one, it's in a very tall pot and is lovely

I think these were from the fancy collection.

Love the lilac coloured ones, that is one of my favourite colours, in fact all shades of purple are my favourite colour.....apart from yellow
It's 'Dot Com', OL....listed as 'blue ripple'.
Btw, you'll be pleased to know that the colour yellow has so far eluded sweet breeders.
