    I mulch those in the ground and give a liquid feed to those in pots.

    Mine get a sprinkling of FB&B in the spring when everything else does, and mulching with garden compost.


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Put cold tea on mine and they seem ok (grown in pots) planted Queen Josephine, El-Nino and Praying hands last year and all made me smile ???? can't wait til they start popping through

    some of mine are just starting to show little "bullets" of new growth.

  • Sorry to jump on this thread but it is kind of relevant I guess? I ordered the 6 free bare root hostas from gardeners world on their offer thing, I've planted them in pots in my cold frame for the time being but I've seen no activity? Have I done it wrong??? Thanks!!

    None of my hostas are doing anything yet - and I don't expect to see anything of them for a while - it's cooler here in Norfolk than down in Devon where Hostafan is image
