Gardengirl, no, not free seed - but almost! End of year sell off at W......Garden Centre, all packets for 50p. These were Suttons seeds, Supacoat (that's not my spelling!) for easy sowing. And they were so easy, I am hooked and will definitely go looking for them again at the end of this year.
Apologies for not replying sooner, yes indeed there were a few copies in stores such as Tesco and another store that would have an extra packet of different seeds along with the one advertised. Which the Subscribers didn't get. I'm guessing they had another deal with these stores?

I finally got around to sowing the Aquilegia seeds last week, due to light levels and temp I waited a couple of extra weeks
Oneofseven I will have to look out for those seeds sound interesting will look out for the at W... GC
NGCARDS good to get nice seed compost, I have not sown the Aquilegia just yet - let us know when they germinate and any pictures
Think in a week or two I will need to put the plastic gh 5 tier up so I can sow more seeds they will get nice lot of light then

I got my GN mag today sunflowers great seeds lets see if I can grow a tall one try and win - I will wait till half way though March to start sowing them I think
Mine arrived too. I tried growing some last year, but the windy weather snapped my only one in half one night, even though it was staked etc so that's put me off them a bit this year lol
I thought was just me who noticed the two packs instead of one for the subscribes, I have not seen any extra packs this year though. I just had a look at subscribing but i dont know how to do it online think I got to do it through the magazine then post my details.
I put my aquilegea seeds in the propagator at 20-21C which I did think would be a little bit warm but they have germinated
The 2 packs weren't for subscribers Perki, just for certain stores. Us subscribers missed out, it happened again at Christmas where there were 4 packets of seeds free with an issue but Subscribers didn't receive it. I only found out myself when in the shops lol
As for how to subscribe I think I did it via the phone.
I know edd, but in the magazine it say you only get one pack of seeds and subscribers only get one pack for some reason. Only certain store sell the edition with two packs on as well.
this is the edition subscribers would get, and in some stores as well, same price as the two pack edition.
I agree with Edd. I don't subscribe. I'm pretty sure I have brought editions that's have 4 packets of seed because I brought them from Tescos. They have extra free gifts occasionally with some magazines because you brought from them. Cross stitcher magazine has done the same once or twice .

No I didn't buy both, I was unsure whether to subscribe or not. It puts me off subscribing with extra pack of seeds not being on subscription edition.
