Mine was a tiny hibiscus looking sorry for itself for £3 from my local garden centre. Bought it in September. Its now triple the size (will need to repot very soon) and flowered continuously from end of September to early February and now has about 4 more forming. It did pinch the earlier buds out to encourage it to bush out (which it did) but kept putting more and more buds out, so I decided to let it flower to see what colour it was (deep pink which fades to pale mauve after a day).
after looking online for a climbing hydrangea i thought id go to our esk gc just for a bag of grit you understand and found a lovely big healthy plant for £6.99, they were virtually double that online and p&p on top while there i also bought a salvia amistad and a white long life tree peony, all nice sizes too.

Nice SFord. Hoping to pick up some bargains post Mothers Day from B&Q next week.
Tomato feed bargain, I'll be using it for tomatoes, chillies, courgettes etc.

Yesterday I bought a hand-forged spade in the local second-hand shop for only one euro and 50 cents.
Didn't need it, because I'd already got three
, but they are very hard to find these days and a new one would cost at least 70 or 80 euros.
And they are completely indestructible
.
