Hi Wendy - might be best to start a separate thread for your query so that people can help with an ID. Having said that, I think it may be a Coreopsis (Tickseed?) although I don't grow them. They have indented edges to their petals.  image

Just saw your post chicky. Very kind of you to say. It will look better when the 'box' matures. I may have to adjust the planting in it as time goes on too. image

I love the fence too Fairy, really good use of space. Might take a look at Helitrope (spelling) I've never planted any.

Jo - I think it's Blue Lady. It's much darker when it flowers in late winter/spring -quite similar to the clematis. I assume it's paler because of the time of year. I needed to move it but when I went to lift it in July, a couple of buds had appeared so I thought 'I'll leave it because they'll be done in a couple of weeks'. It's been producing more and more ever since ! image

Thanks for the kind comments ladies  image

RB - Blue Lady I think. It's lovely at it's proper time of flowering! I have pasqueflowers in various shades which flower with it in spring. I love them. A few of those have produced flowers recently too.

Heliotrope grow very easily from seeds.

chicky, did you grow your Amaranthus from seed, I have bought a packet but never tried them before?
