A definite autumnal look to my garden now - a few pics from today:
Speckled Wood butterfly on a strawberry - nice camoflage:
Young Ariona (chokeberry) with the red foliage, young Cotinus (smoke bush) with dark foliage and a Hypericum showing all stages - flowers, red and black berries:
and a bee enjoying a fantastically scented Heliotrope (don't see many folk growing this any more - a real shame):
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Lovely, lovely photos on here. My poor garden is looking a bit downbeaten today, rained quite heavily in the night and a bit overcast today but a couple of shots from Friday. Haven't been out there much last week or two so a couple of nice surprises for me.

Have missed all these lovely pix while I've been away!
Kathy - the hydrangea you mention is probably Limelight. It has large greeny flowers which change to pink later on. Some of us have been debating it on another thread about white ones.
LF - I love those box columns. Very unusual, but a nice change from balls or cones
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
