Thank you chicky. Yes - I'm quite pleased with what I've got done in a couple of years. A lot of it looks after itself - which is necessary for me. Plenty of greenery to cheer me on the wettest, dullest days too.Still things to do and things to change, but that's how gardens work isn't it
I think the path down to the back gate is quite a nice view now.
I still have to finish the step at the gate
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I moved here end of February 2013 and started it that summer. Eldest daughter helped a bit with all the new boundary fences - about 40/50 metres or thereabouts. She helped with removing the internal bit as well, and moving the shed etc. She's quite handy with a pickaxe and an electric screwdriver now

It's not big Verd - roughly 8 metres from the house to the rear fence, and about 10/11 metres wide (widest at the house end) plus a little area in one corner where the shed is. There's a bit along the side of the house but that's just grass, and is where the extension will be - eventually.
Very satisfying RB - thank you.

My new garden - bought the house a few months ago. Please excuse the mess. I've just had to replace the fence and have only got rid of the last lot of rotting wood from the old one this morning.
Nothing to look at but I'm hoping a lot of potential.
Starting with the front
A couple of shubs in there I hope will come back strongly next year.
Will put lots of wildflower seeds in by the hedge and hope for the best.
Back Garden
DIY, potting and anything else area.
Veg area (will put more raised beds up)
Seating and BBQ area
This will be a lawn
Bottom corner. Aim to put a Budleja and some lavender in here.
The back fence will hopefully have a climbing rose and ordered some other roses for a couple of new beds and pots.
