Golfinches have landed!

    Reading through all the different things we all put out for the birds which they either devour or ignore completely - perhaps they are getting a bit picky or do we overfeed them as they are getting enough food naturally?

  • Who knows...but I'm going to carry on with my sunflower hearts, just because I love seeing them so much!

  • Glad for you.   Let's hope they keep coming.   My first sighting was of just one, these days we have 20 and upwards.

    I have 20 plus goldfinch in my garden, cost me a fortune in sunflower hearts, I also put some under my berberis for the blackbirds blue tits great tits and my little robin, horrible pigeons and my daily visit from a squirrel clean up after them, they are a joy to watch
