I'm new to the forum and new to growing from seed but I love my garden and try to spend as much time as possible in it. I don't seem to actually achieve much so I thought this would be a good way of getting some practical advise.
I would like to have a go at growing some flowers from seed this year. Previous attempts have failed due to the army of snails that appeared as soon as I transplanted the young plants in to the garden. It also didn't help that we gained a boxer puppy who at the time loved digging up anything and everything.
So I wanted to know what seeds would be a good start for me? The garden has good soil and lots of sun. Any flowers would need to be dog friendly as he is still partial to tasting anything new in the garden. Luckily his digging phase seems to have passed.
