Have a lovely day tomorrow Marion image

my front garden has a lovely white magnolia tree and gazillions of hybrid bluebells, and lots of daffodil bulbs planted. Only one daff has come up, the magnolia seems to be asleep but I do have pink and white bluebells that gave come up! Driving around, magnolia trees everywhere are springing open, but sadly, mine is making me wait image You can smell it from the top of my street, and people are always stopping by and telling me how lovely it looks and smells image

There are some lovely magnolias in Charleton Lane Fruitcake when you come round to the school.  i will check on my favourite on Monday morning when I go to the surgery.  It is a very old one as I have been admiring it every spring for 51 years now.

A dry and fairly mild Mother's Day in Bristol.  I mustered up enough energy to wash my hair for going out to lunch,  My eldest son emailed he was working till 7pm and would call round after work.  Yesterday the postman brought me a snazzy tin with compost and seeds to grow basil in which will look very smart on my kitchen windowsill from my eldest daughter in Ballymena.  My garden is looking so beautiful from the windows and I know loads of daffodils (Welsh) will be opening their buds up in the spinney.  Happy Mother's day everybody.

Yes, flumpy1 my appetite returned as soon as I smelled the lovely food.  Three of my sons were there and the eldest came to visit this evening as he finished work at 7pm.  It has been very cold in Bristol today and cloudy but it stayed dry.  Here is a  pic of the lovely presents I had for Mothering Sunday including a Basil growing kit for the kitchen windowsill complete with seeds and compost.

A drizzly day to go to the surgery but I had another half hour session with my lovely young lady doctor who was very perky after herholiday.  she took me off the anticoagulant medication to try to reduce the side effects and said we could try a different one later in the year but wants me to keep on with the Digoxen for another two weeks as she is so pleased my heartrate has gone down from 151 to 91 so i shall keep on battling with the diarrhoea.  She confirmed what my nurse daughter had said that it was OK to have paracetamol for the dreadful back pain so i popped into the pharmacy and bought some more.  All my blood test results wre good including cholestorol and sugar but I have to pop along in the afternoon with another urine sample though she felt sure i had washed out the infection with all my water drinking.  I see her again in two time - nearly April then.

Great - promised double figures in temp. from the weathermen today and mostly dry so I wil try to get along to the florists and order some fresh compost for when I am well enough to start outside again.  The paracetamol has taken care of my bad backache and the man from the council came to say my Combiboiler grant is going ahead.  I may get up to see my flowers today especially my early "Cynthia" tulips.

Oh I had such a lovely walk in the sunshine to the shops and then round my back garden with my camera where the anemone blanda are now flowering, joining the throng of spring flowers and blossom.  My Xmas orchid is now reaching the end of its flowering for now so last picture of it as well,  But now I have my beautiful calla lily I had as a Mothering Sunday present to chart the progress of.
