A male doctor rang me from the surgery this morning while I was still in bed to warn me to drink plenty and ring the surgery if I needed help as an infection had shown up in my urine so I had better stay near the tap and toilet today.  Dry and 7degrees already too which is a bit frustrating.  He is going to ring again when the result comes back from the hospital which should be tomorrow.  Patience is a virtue!

    Good morning Marion.

Very important to drink plenty, sometimes one forgets to drink when busy, but I'm sure you're very sensible and you know that already. That's the ex-nurse in me!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

My nausea was causing me to shy away from fluids as the rooten bile in my mouth was disgusting as I was sick with nothing to bring up from my stomach, but appetite back now and drinking plenty. TY, nurse.

I am terribly guilty of not drinking enough when I am at either of the allotments- with no toilet facilities at either of them other than a bucket in the shed, it just seems easier not to drink while I'm there, especially with there being so many spiders in one of the sheds imageimage

Very glad to read that you're on the mend Marion image

  • Yes, glad you are feeling much better Marion.

Dry and very mild so I took my camera on safari and there were bumblebees buzzing everywhere.  First spring with my hearing aids in so it was just magic!

Three new tomato seeds to try for mr. Fothergills Seeds have just arrived - so exciting, two relatives of my favourite Sungold - Sunchocola is coloured chocolate and Sunlemon is lemon.  Imagine those two in a bowl together.  And the third "Red Bodyguard" celebrates the 90th birthday of the writer of a book called the Red Bodyguard, Ron Levin, who extolled the health promoting properties of the tomato. I can honestly say I never cease to be surprised at the aesthetic and cultural aspects of being a gardener.
