I'm hoping to replace the veg beds in the back garden with flower beds and do a little redesign of the area, quite like the idea of tropical looking plants...
Also planted half a dozen fruit tree's on the allotment a couple of weeks ago, which I've now decided are in the wrong place and I'd like to train some into fans and espaliers...wish me luck...
My next door neighbours are moving in early Jan and in return for looking after their cat, of whom I put a picture on another thread, I am the recipient of an apple and a plum tree in pots AND I can help myself to any plants in pots in their garden while they are on a short break. A good start to 2015. And to grow even more from seed for me and the reception garden at my boys school.
Hi, David K. Have you ever bought from "Chrysanthemums Direct"? They are the best probably.... great little plug plants to get you started.
My ambitions for this year.... open my garden in the village open gardens event...master plan already underway... and build a second terrace, next to the house to replace the pathetic excuse for a patio I currently have.
Hi, Woodgreen....no, I haven't even given a thought to suppliers yet, but thanks anyway.
I've had this unfulfilled ambition to grow those huge incurve chysanths to show bench standards since I was a little un....in fact, when I left school the headmaster gave me a chrysanthemum growing book as a leaving present.
Years ago, 'Woolmans' were probably the top specialist and I'm pleased to see that they are still around today.
