To grow my own fruit and veg image

  • I want to taken every thing I learnt from on here last year and use it , not grow as much veg so I can manage what I do grow, but my primary resolution is to actually get back in the garden and get it tidied up as it is embarrassed at the moment.......oh and sow my sweet pea seeds before David tells me off!

  • As some others have said, I'm going to try to enjoy the garden in the moment. I'll still keep fixing/tinkering/'improving' no doubt but when I compare my garden now to photos from summer I wonder why I was so dissatisfied...image

Not exactly garden related but I also resolve not to run out of bird food on NYD againimage

This year I WILL do successional sowings of veg - instead of just intending to do it.

I will also plant things at their correct spacings so I don't have to move things around after a few months. image

I'm not doing New Year resolutions, I will just muddle along as usual doing what I can in my too big (my fault!) garden and coping with the weather and circumstances. Some of it will be lovely and some of it won't. Some veg will do well and some less well. But my OH will probably still tease me for being out there so much!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Busy-Lizzie , nothing wrong with muddling along , as long as you are happy

I try to plan but muddling along is easier , after all you never know what's going to do well or not

I'm going to have a go at a cut flower garden in one if my raised beds.  Will sacrifice spuds to do it. Hope it's worth it! Excited!!
