I was so impressed with Dovefromabove's description of the AR that after a bit of recce on American tomatoe seed sites that I have just purchased a packet from Nickys seed site.here in the UK. 16 seeds per packet.
For cherry tomatoes to eat straight off the plant as well as "Sungold" and "Gardeners Delight" I love "Black Opal" and Pink Charmer". "Orange Slice" is a lovely big one for pretty sandwiches and "Ferline" is blight resistant.
Definitely Sungold, beat garten perle and maskotka for taste hands down. And Costoluto Genovese/fiorentino for cheese, ham and tomato sandwiches and for cheese and tomato on toast. The only big tomato I eat.
Gardeners delight and Sweet Million for me, sweet million I just bag up and put them straight in the freezer, makes the loveliest pasta sauce when simmered gently with garlic and onion.

I only grow SunGold but am going to try Tigerella for the first time next year

Reference to only fools and horses, trigger always called Rodney, Dave
Black Cherry's very good, especially grown outdoors
A bit like going to the same place on holiday each year ,how do you know its the best, if you do not try somewhere else.
Same thing with tomatoes ,each person's taste is different ,
The best tomatoes I have tasted were grown by myself using hydroponics.as are about 90 to 100 % of supermarket ones,
I would never advise anyone else of specific cultivars as I believe that cultivation, climate etc can make a big difference.
Another vote for Sungold here. I am trying Tigerella next year as someone gave me some seeds.
Definitely Sungold for me. Makes amazing pasta sauce which the whole family love.
