Spindles are such a brilliant colour I like them for those few short moments when the bright orange seed appears to be hanging in space below pink capsules
I love the red white and blue of the hedgerows here in Devon.......red campion, blue bells and white stitchwort all flowering together and next come the foxgloves......A red campion took root in my greenhouse this year just inside the door. I let it stay and it rewarded me by growing to 5 foot high and producing huge flowers up to a few weeks ago ! It looked very tropical nothing like its country cousins outside !
The 'hanging on by no thread at all' stage doesn't last long Edd but they look good in some way all year; winged stems, leaves, flowers, seed capsules, seeds, I wouldn't be without a few
Nut - all your favourites are the ones you gave me...I hope you left some for yourself? Greater and lesser knapweed, lady's bedstraw, vipers bugloss, lesser calamint, kidney vetch,'jack go to bed at noon',harebell, musk mallow.
Foxgloves I would agree on...aquilegias,violets,bluebells,primroses,cowslips,ragged robin and many, many more Oh and meadowsweet.
Yes feverfew KEF I'm sure that's native. I've had it growing like a weed in my garden for years.

If I was only allowed to choose one there is no doubt I would choose bluebells and only if growing in a beechwood.
