After all the rain we had this week everything has doubled in size and our water barrels are full and the sunflowers are flying away now some are nearly 1metre tall
Have a look
Cabbages are getting big and starting to get round in the middle and the rest are strong looking plants with no sign of cabbage root fly
Beetroot and sweetcorn
Turnips are forming now but a couple have gone to seed
love my tatties he he
Like I mentioned earlier some of the sunflowers are nearly 1 metre tall I think this lot are gonna be really tall this year
All the flowers are forming buds now .All this rain has made them grow very quickly and they are lush green aswell
The seating area is gonna be even better very soon flowers are opening everywhere
Thanks Linda im sure youll get your allotment looking how you want it. Its taken us 3 years to get were we are but im always looking to do things to improve it. I think the next thing is a small wildlife pond so watch this space
Why arent you at work Baza, it looks amazing.Hubby made me various wooden planters, got 2 trugs on legs in my veg plot, to keep the baby salad leaves away from the slugs. This year he made 2 more for strawberries out of scaffold boards cheap and cheerful. The corn is as high as an elephants eye!!!
I don't have an allotment Baz....that's why I'm envious!!! Got a big back garden though, and grow all my fruit, veggies and flowers in pots. Not doing too bad with some of it though.
Linda for some reason i thought you had an allotment my mistake many sorrys but a big back garden sounds the part . We are going to plant another pear and cherry tree soon for next year hoping they do better than the one we have at the moment it only gets leaves on one side then they go black and drop off its a sorry site so it will have to go
Nanny beach im on the 3 - 11 shift this week so i can get to the garden everyday probably my favourite shift for that reason
Trying our best to keep on top of things before we jet off for our jollys

Hello Everyone
Just a few photos to show how things are romping on
Flowers popping up all over . We think we are getting the look we were after in the big boxes just waiting for the petunias now which won't be long
I swear this turnip wasn't there yesterday he he
Got peapods already even though the plant is still small
Sunflower heads are forming the rose is from next door
big fat bee tucking in
Tomatoes and cucumbers getting their flowers now
Looking forward to these fellas . I said it last year you cannot beat the taste of your own sweetcorn it'll never be beaten
Beetroot is really coming on now after a slow start
And finally the tatties are starting to flower now so that's a good sign . Also the sunflowers next to the fence are looking great now
Thanks
