Victoria Sponge, what is that lovely last shrub - the yellow one?

Is it some sort of marigold? Will it come up each year?

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Hi Birdy,image

It is an annual /HHP rudbeckia, poss two, that I grew from seed this year. They were called autumn colours/shades. I totally recommend them, easy to grow and flower from late summer. Bombproof as well - they've been through all sorts of weather. I'm trying some different ones next year, cherry brandy and some orange with green centres, the name of which escapes me at the mo.

Thanks LesleyK- of course I put on a pic of the best dregimage

I love the hues at this time of year. Everything is so subtle, shame it doesnt last all that long.
