Verdun, (White astrantia?) they say the foliage is lovely, did look at Salvia x. sylvestris Schneehügel but thought too tall. I am going to get the Salvia Amistad for somewhere though, looks gorgeous.
Why will the Lilly of the Valley wreak havok, does it spread really fast? Surely a lovely scent?

Morning BM, sort of reached a decision decided on whites with a touch of yellow - as in eyes of flowers and tones, however, struggling to get some of my choices, here or in the UK so far. Did get some stuff in an online basket and then it disappeared. I got a bit cross and also have been really busy outside - OH offered help with some autumn hedging and tree pruning so didn't dare delay him, if he had sat back down never would have got him up again.
Will have another go later, also there is a small nursery near here I will have a look at, they do have some unusual things sometimes.
Thanks for asking, will post final list when all bought and paid for - not sure 'final' is right word in gardening.

Perennials are a great way to go so how about Choisya Ternata Sundance and some Heuchera? Dark purple heucheras look amazing with it for contrast, but Heuchera Marmalade is also gorgeous (much nicer than online pics make it look...) - the tops of the leaves are ochres and yellows and greens but the underside is vibrant pink so when the wind ruffles through it, the colour mix is great. My choisya and ternata have survived vicious winds, heavy frosts and serious snow and are all thriving...

Verdun, apologies, mis understood you, thought you were querying use of 'argentea', know you are a salvia fan.
Liking the look of White astrantia, but Monty says just 7 - eek.
Like the common name Verdun - melancholy gentleman - my impression of you.
What's the latest DD?
Did you reach a final decision?

Glad OH helped you this weekend, bet it spurred you on
Hi
