It's been extremely windy here in Dorset and although the sun is shining now the trees are still clashing about and there's leaves everywhere.  Fortunately not a lot of rain yesterday as the river was rising rapidly after an inch of it overnight Saturday.

All crab apples down, silver birch and rowan stripped, but not sycamore.  Very gusty, bits of blue sky - think I'll get out while I can.

Blustery winds, blue skies, white fluffies and sunshine at the moment - but OH has just gone down to the village on his bike ..........

Lots of various shades of grey scudding past at rapid speeds and blustery down here o teh ground.  Warm too which is always dodgy with high winds but no damage so far except that my beautiful, glowing rhus typhina dissecta and golden rain tree will probably be completely bare by the end of the day.   Trees and shrubs in the far corner are almost bare now but the birch, twisted hazel and bird cherry are still quite green and hanging on.

Been wet too so dog walking has to wait till that part blows over.   My next home will definitely have a dog shower and foot bath!

Nearly all leaves stripped from pear tree, which is good as it needs a good prune and now I'll be able to see what I'm doing.image
