    If I could get off my backside and get on I'd be sowing seeds now. But I had to wait for the washing machine to finish and drink some coffee and now I've run out of excuses

    I thought the item on the cutting garden was timely. Too often magazines write on subjects too late. Food journalists do it too. Soft fruit recipes when the season is nearly over. Asparagus recipes after the English season is over.



    I was also impressed by the dahlias raised from seed. I always find tuber storage over winter problematic. House too warm, outbuilding too cold!

    It was timely for me as well. My seed sowing time is well under way. 

    I grow different plants though, there are thousands to choose from

    I can't see where Monty was advertising anything,he was using a bulb planter but no brand names on show. The poor bloke can't seem to win whatever he does.

    Wills Monty was just using bog standard bulb planter which is no new tool? Been around for donkeys! Prob can even get one in pound shop!
