Thanks Edd,just checked and I won' t pinch out again, the small ones are being shaded a bit by the pesky giant geraniums and a random peony that didn't seem to be there last year...!may pull off a few leaves to get a bit more sun to them

Here is my first vase full this year. The kitchen is filled with their scent.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • What on earth is happening to the thread? image  .Absolutely beautiful, Lizzie, take a bow....I can well imagine how nice they smell; the dark coloured ones will be providing best smell. image

I suppose I meant the failure of anyone to show appreciation of your efforts....I offer as an excuse for myself, that my visits here have been infrequent of late.

Have been gardening all day and just popped into the thread. Lovely sweet peas Lizzie! Mine seem to be nowhere near the flowering stage yet - they're barely 6" tall, like rosemummy's.

  • Just popped by to say my sweet peas look realy pathetic and I don't think they are going to do well.....that's all really image

Yours look gorgeous Lizzie, well done........jealous xx

  • Very kind of you, Verd....I sort of assume my help (on this particular subject) is appreciated. However, the occasional thanks (please don't overdo it image) are very welcome.
