I've had two GH's given, the first off a friend and the second was inherited on the allotment, admitedly the 2nd has no glass but one can't expect everything for nothingimage

...And apart from stuff left on the allotment from previous owners, I've been given a potting bench for the GH, loads of pots, flower buckets (over 100, running out of idea's as to how to use them) wheelbarrow, plastic darlik...

The first GH has to be the best freebie.

The foxgloves that pop up every year are my favourite freebie. I've never bought one and my garden is never without oneimage

Most of our beech hedge was a freebie as a neighbour begged the leftover plants from council workers down the lane and gave them to us because he'd noticed our gapsimage

I've also has seeds and plants from other forum members (thanks for the iris' bekkieimage) so Ice Twin you really should take a look at the wish list threadimage

  • I feel a bit cheeky asking for anything else as I don't have much to offer.  I am going to post my minuscule list tomorrow though image

Last year some very kind person left 2 trays of winter violas on my doorstep.I potted them up and had a lovely display.

I had thought a friend had given them too me but I never did find out who did!

I've got some freebies from work - seedlings from steps, and nooks and crannies, and they've been potted on and planted out. I've had seeds from people here which is great, and it's been nice to reciprocate image

But my favourite freebie is my Dad's big glazed pot. He used it for acid which stripped the lacquer from the instruments he repaired, and it lived in the garage. It weighs a ton!  It will have a special place here when I finish all the work I'm doing image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
