    Hi Grandma - a quick "google" says they are used by a lot of businesses & government departments, and are charged at local or national rate (ie not premium).

    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Explanation :    someone I know just made a phone call to Microsoft  a problem with one of.  their products .was kept on phone 2 hours 20 mins to be told that they cannot help . Just a bit concerned what thiS call has cost.  They understood it was a free number but I did not think so.goodness knows what this call is going to costimageimage

    I do know - a lot.

    Remember social media is your friend, post on their facebook page, if you have to complain, go straight to the directors office, this info can be found online image



    I was a complaints handler for many years, little gets any notice at "shop floor" levelimage

    They stayed on the phone for over 2 hours??? Something not right there. It wasn't a scam was it?

    Im aware of call centre agents who want a break and havent got any break time allowance left, putting customers on hold, then going for a coffee, not saying this is what happened, but you never know!



    There is a microsoft scam going round, something to do with virus protection, but they call you dont they?

    Yes bekkie think I may have had this one,had a call few week ago , bloke said they had detected a problem on my pc  looked like a virus.I said I knew nothing about it

    There reply was that they realized   , and this is why they   are contacting me, said if I could just turn on my computer they could talk me through it.

    I told them that I didn't have time ( after all I was sorting out my first love- me garden borders!) 

    So he was very helpful and said he would ring back in an hour as it was very important.

    He didn't and nothing wrong with pc that I couldn't sort out myself.
