Mike, I think you should reflect on what you've said - I'm sure you don't mean to be insulting but that's how it comes over. It makes it sound as if you're only interested in watching lithe young beauties' bodies, rather than watching dancing - which is an enjoyable activity for all sorts of people.
Many many older people use dancing as a way of staying mobile and keeping fit, rather than going to a gym. Surely you're not saying that if someone isn't young and attractive they should do this behind closed doors rather than offend the viewer's eye?
Following that logic we could end up with mature, capable and experienced newsreaders and presenters being replaced with pretty young new graduates for no reason other than their appearance - we don't want that to happen surely?

I was pleased with Scott going, although I did enjoy his dance
Agree Alison is starting to disappoint. As someone with a somewhat fuller figure, I'm disappointed she doesn't seem to make more of an effort with her feet. Looking like she's picking them up for a start might help.
Lol KEF I model myself on Craig, he's so fab u lous
Thank you from me too. Read it last night but stopped myself from quoting.
Its a shame Alison doesn't wear slightly high heels I'm sure they would help her look not so flat footed. She's got great rhythm. I was just glad that a 'dancer' didn't go.
Sometimes it's really hard for larger women to find elegant shoes in their size - but one would think that a programme like Strictly would have resources.
Large women can often be very light on their feet - I remember watching the wonderful Hattie Jacques dancing on some programme or other - she was amazing. And of course, there's always the wonderful Roly Poly's who proved that you don't have to be slim to dance

Is it a dance show or is it entertainment , well I think it is a bit of both , just enjoy it for what it is a "TV Show"
agree with Scott going out but who is next , Judy Murray and her partner always look amazed not to be in the dance off , at least she is honest and said she is not very good
"Phew" thank goodness Scott has gone and he thought he was good?? Judy, well for some reason the public keep voting her in and it is their choice, when it comes to the bigger show dances then Judy will go as will Alison, she is fun but has come to the end of the line, Asjaz is never going to lift her is he. Still Caroline for me among the men I am turning towards Simon, he is definitely improving.
Well said Dove, some of us do watch the dancing feet and judge from that. Good Dancers through my Dancing life came in all sizes and shapes the best not being the most glamorous and some of the bigger girls very light on their feet. Watch the dancing I say.

Have watched it all now. The right person went and I hope the other right person goes next week.
I didn't agree with the decision, I wasn't a Scott fan but honestly can't see how much more Alison will be able to do.
Mutton dressed as lamb
one would hardly expect mature ladies to dance in twin set and pearls or mature men to wear a cardigan and slippers.

Dove, thank you for the above. I like this thread and didn't want it removing as a result of what I initially wanted to post in reply to MA.
