The Blue Peter competition scandal was way back in 2007 and that triggered the changes in the way things are run and the openness and clarity of accounts and procedures etc. so it's an ill wind etc .....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
"and it was stated on the BBC website as far back as 2008 that the Results Show which is broadcast on Sunday is recorded on Saturday after the voting has closed."
I don't see it as pretence it's a show recorded on Saturday and screened on Sunday. Gardener's World is presumably filmed sometime in the week before it's screened on the Friday evening - very few programmes are actually live.

David my involvement with performing arts/film/tv in the past probably makes me less concerned than some with 'time travel' as practised on tv. I expect tv entertainment programmes to have an element of 'staging'.
As to the pretence it is quite easy to check, a man I know goes into the betting shop on Sunday mornings and sees the betting on Strictly with the name removed from the list, so no bets can be taken after the event. They must get to know instantly it happens so no bets are taken on a sure thing????
Frank.
PS David did you work out the tune yet, music in the garden.

As a lifelong follower of Ipswich Town, that's not as easy as it once was

Getting a bit bored with footie role on 7pm
I'm not bored KEF - my Dad watches it so I can use the computer

For me tonight has been about the 3 S'
Best dance Simon
Steve & Sunetra disappointed
As for Judy I moved more on the sofa to Mary Poppins Let's go fly a kite
Let's see what results show has to offer tomorrow
I agree, KEF.
Given recent voting patterns, it will probably be Sunetra to leave this week.
I thought Caroline's Jive was fantastic and it scored just 1 point less than I predicted earlier in the week.
Jake did really well again, but I just can't take to the guy.
