A Sheddy Question!

I am planning on replacing the greenhouse with a combo shed/greedhouse and this will most likely (for practical reasons) be placed upon a concrete slab. My question is, how thick does said concrete need to be to support a wooden greenhouse on three layers of brick?

How big is the shed, Steve?
also factor in your soil type, light sandy soil will need deeper base than clay , for example.
I'd ask a good, local builder to come round and give you a price / advice. Then decide.
We have a shed place locally and their prices for concrete slabs are astonishing... Over £1500 for the size I need...
Oh and our soil is pretty heavy, no sand at all!
Specialist shed places are bound to be more expensive Steve - try a general builder.
Steve - £1500! - I'd be wanting the whole building done for that
Definitely a builder, as the other Steve says.
By the time you've got it done you could rent it out as a holiday home to recoup the money!
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
does it need to be on a concrete base? A shed is perfectly secure on railway sleepers which you can get now for about £15 each, which would leave more budget for the base of the greenhouse. Just another option to consider?
