  • I'm growing Ammi Majus just to add some "froth" to my garden - like ornamental cow parsley.. if you're in Dorset they *might* be in flower in time if you start them off now. Most of the plants people have suggested on here will be. I've Ammi seedlings germinating already on the windowsill and I only sowed them three days ago!

  • Just got the Sarah Raven catalogue, so many ideas you might like, you should be able to request a copy from the website, even if you just pinch the ideas!image
  • Ooo - is it free? (love a freebie)! image

  • I assume so, mine just appeared in the post, never been much of a fan before, but this is a good un! There are so many things that made me think of you, they have collections of seed for flowers just for cutting, a little on the pricey side, but you dont mind for a special occassion image
  • Another little tip, if anyone lives by David Austin roses, if you get there early (ive only done this on weekends) they have bunches of roses to buy for a few quid, well worth it, they sell out very quickly! image
  • Oooo, also, there is a site ive used for little baskets, gift bags etc called candi gifts, well worth a look if you need a fair bit of stuff image
  • Ooo im up for foraging Amy. I have seen so many flowers about that id love to have.
  • I'm sure we can find some nice hedge-row flowers Jodor! image

Garden centres that belong to the garden centre group, have reduced all seeds to 50p. You can get lots of seeds of hardy annuals to sow now, for very little outlay.

  • GinglyGangly - just wondering.... how long will you keep your seedlings on the windowsill?
