Thank you everyone for being so kind.

Lily I been thinking of you and your friend. The shingles seems to have gone on a long time, how horrid for her to have that added on to the rest. When I had it the doc gave me something that really took the burning out. xx

Lizzie such terrible news, sending you love x

Lily love to you as well x

  • Thank you Busy and Kef x

My friend is on strong painkillers of some sort, not sure what anymore. She said the pain is worse in her face and head. The shingles went into her eyes too, she said it feels like she has soap in them all the time. The 'shingles' rash has faded a bit but her cheeks, mouth, nose and one of her eyes are still swollen. But much better than it was. Her immune system is pretty low, I just hope she doesn't get anything else.

Hope you have some good news today Busy xx

KEF I think you have done really well to set up this thread.  5 starsimage  We all feel a bit guilty for bringing the tone down on main threads.  I know people will relate to what happens here.  Love and hugs x

Well said Lesley - I don't often post on this thread but I often read it. Several of our friends are having stressful or traumatising times & if it helps to share the load that can only be a good thing - nobody need ever feel guilty about offloading / sharing / seeking support - whatever - on this thread. It's good to know it's here.

Glad you've got your phone & internet back Lyn - it is isolating without and so very sorry to hear that B Lizzie has had such a run of bad news. Best wishes to all of you who need them.
