Lily - your poor friend. Sometimes life seems so random doesn't it? It gives some people such a lot to deal with while others seem to sail on without any real issues. You only have to hear any news bulletin these days
I often hope I might be wrong about divine retribution....that's a big admission from an atheist
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you Fairy. I really don't think she can take much more. I spoke to her briefly today and she sounds very low and poorly. Her daughter sounded quite low too. She is living at her daughters at the mo, which is about a 3 hour drive from me. I feel awful that I can't help at all. But I can't leave my sister either.
My poorly friend has been taken into hospital. The shingles have got worse and she can hardly see. They are going to do tests later to see how bad the shingles has affected her eye sight.
Been reading yours and other posts on here and was moved to tears with them, can't find the right words to express how made me feel. Certainly humble and grateful that my own troubles fade into insignificance in comparison.
Can but hope the power of good wishes and kind thoughts can make a difference, the support on here itself is extremely moving.
I heard some good news this morning about someone who was in a hopeless position - so I would just say stay positive, we never know what each day brings.
Very best wishes to all suffering directly or indirectly.

Lily, I'm so sorry to hear that your friend is now in hospital. Really hope they can help to save her sight. It's hard for you to be so far away but she will know you are thinking about her. Hugs

Thanks bekkie, I'm really worried about her, life doesn't seem fair at the moment.
SGL - Sounds absolutely dreadful, poor, poor lady.
