Sorry Nut - you can tell I worked in a garden centre! I got used to "translating" what customers said about their plants, or ignoring it and using my eyes instead if more appropriate.

I think this is an Jerusalem Artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus).

I've just planted 2 lots of Lemon Queen. Love the yellow flowers but from all the above comments, I'll make sure it dosen't spread too far.
